Despite a booming tourism industry, Siem Reap province remains one of the poorest in Cambodia with negligible amounts of economic prosperity reaching those in the countryside. Jasmine Lodge has attempted to rectify this where possible with its ‘pro-poor’ employment, tour and food policies. Kunn employs eight permanent members of staff (6 general, 1cook and 1 laundry) and all have been recruited from villages outside of Siem Reap (Kunn: “Tourism does not reach there”). All eight employees receive accommodation and training, and can go to school locally. They also receive $40 per month in salary. These staff benefit from on-the-job English language training, through interaction with guests, as they go along.More story

If you arrive by air or bus and have NOT arranged for us to collect you.
By Tuk Tuk, agree a price first before getting into the Tuk Tuk and ignore claims that we are close by you are. if they are not sure where our jasmine lodge is , please make phone call to our jasmine lodge and we will be there anywhere in Siem reap only in 5 minutes or finding internet place and mail to me. every space below please fill them up all.

Note: All the bus company running in Cambodia has different own bus stations. so if you prefer our Jasmine lodge guesthouse's pick up service please give us your bus company and details of departure .we will arrange our tuk tuk drivers or taxi drivers going to wait for you before your arrivals.

For the taxi and bus from Bangkok or border of Thailand(aranyaprathet). there is not the bus and taxi station in siem reap. for tourists taxi or tourists bus will drive you to drop off at tuk tuk drivers place because you have been organised from border(poipet). tuk tuk drivers will say to take you free to any guesthouses or hotels you have reserved but it is not true.they will talk scam to take you different guesthouse or hotels with high commission. if you already have reservation they will ask you to check the paper booking and then they will call to hostel staff telling your name not the one you have booked and then tuk tuk drivers will take you there when you are arriving all tuk tuk driver and hostel staff call your names and trying to be scam friendly at you and make you forget to see the sign.that is the hostel and hotels you did not book. take care !!!
